Billing

SyVault billing is managed through the Platform Console. This page covers plan tiers, payment methods, invoices, and common billing operations.

Plans

SyVault offers five subscription tiers:

Secrets Manager application caps

Per-plan caps on Secrets Manager applications (enforced by sm_app_cap_for_plan):

  • Free: Secrets Manager is not available (feature-gated).
  • Developer: 3 applications.
  • Teams: 3 applications.
  • Business: 10 applications.
  • Enterprise: unlimited.

Dynamic secrets and breach monitoring admin are Enterprise-only.

Payment Methods

SyVault accepts:

  • Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express).
  • ACH bank transfer (Business and Enterprise plans, US only).
  • Wire transfer (Enterprise plan, by arrangement).

Manage payment methods under Platform Console > Billing > Payment Methods.

Billing Cycle

  • Monthly: Billed on the same day each month. Seat additions are prorated for the remainder of the current cycle.
  • Annual: Billed once per year at a 20% discount. Seat additions are prorated for the remainder of the annual term.

Invoices

Invoices are generated at the start of each billing cycle and are available under Platform Console > Billing > Invoices. Each invoice includes:

  • Line items for base plan seats and any add-ons.
  • Prorated charges for mid-cycle seat additions.
  • Applicable taxes.

Changing Plans

To upgrade or downgrade:

  1. Go to Platform Console > Billing > Plan.
  2. Select the new plan tier.
  3. Review the prorated charges or credits.
  4. Confirm the change.

Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle to avoid disrupting access to features.

Seat Management

  • Adding seats: Go to Billing > Seats, enter the number of additional seats, and confirm. The charge is prorated.
  • Removing seats: Reduce the seat count. The reduction takes effect at the next billing cycle. You must remove or suspend members to match the new seat count before the cycle renews.

Cancellation

To cancel your subscription:

  1. Go to Platform Console > Billing > Plan.
  2. Click Cancel Subscription.
  3. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  4. After cancellation, you can export your data for 30 days. After that, all encrypted data is permanently deleted.

Tax and Compliance

SyVault charges applicable sales tax based on your billing address. Enterprise customers can provide a tax-exempt certificate under Billing > Tax Settings.
